Real Yoga Programme

Monday Evenings 6:30PM-7:30PM

Underhill Centre, St Johns Road, Hedge End, SO30 4AF

The Real Yoga classes pick up where our beginner course leaves off. By now you will know the 10 sets of postures (kriyas), understand where yoga came from and how it became what you see today. You will have touched upon the Yamas and Niyamas, will have started applying these both on and off the mat. You will have also learned breathing techniques and experienced some basic meditation.

Our intention with Real Yoga is to build on all of these. The physical practise will build on to the flow taught during your beginners training, however, the weekly philosophy will be more focused on
exploring techniques that we can bring into our daily lives to improve our understanding of our own psychology through The Route of 10, and thus make living life in our modern surroundings a whole lot easier.

Mike’s - “ The Route of 10 ”

This is a tuition tool that is unique to our class. Below is an overview if what you will learn and experience.

1. There is One great force that holds everything together, you will experience this Force. In experiencing this Force you will get to know the One You. In getting to know You, you will discover that there is One Path for you to find.

2. There are Two ways this Force communicates with you. There are Two ways you connect to this Force. There are Two tools that you unknowingly use to create your reality. Real Yoga will  give you the skill set for these tools.

3. There are Three Vibrations that need to be in harmony, then you can master the Three Presents. There are Three Mindset energies we need to understand.

4. There are Four phases though which Yoga has evolved. Our Yoga journey is to go back through these phases with our Four Stages of Yoga. There are Four mental 'positions' to understand.

5. There are Five elements which we Master through our Five techniques of Yoga (Sadhanas). Through this we access our Five Bodies (Koshas) which are fed by the Five Winds (Vayus) which govern different areas of the body. There are Five Afflictions (Kleshas) that keep us in the dark.

6. There are Six Keys that unlock the Six Unconsious Defences which will then steer us away from the Six negative symptoms in modern life.

7. We have Seven Chakras (Wheels/Energetic Health) which create our Seven Gandular centres (Plexus/ mini-brains/Physical Health). We have Seven Selfs to understand and systematically work through.

8. There are Eight Steps (Limbs) to Patanjalis map of Yoga to reach Mastery. With Mastery you will be applying the Noble Eightfold path of Buddhism. There are Eight gates that you can go through to get you back to your Path.

9. There are Nine immediate benefits to your daily Yoga practice. We have Nine Breaths to learn with their unique properties. Your practice will expose the Nine Illusions of modern living.

10. There are Ten Lessons that the Yamas and Niyamas teach us. By this point we will be applying the Ten Disciplines, which will then open us up to the Ten Harmonies (Sanyanas).
